Thank you for visiting our site. It has been especially designed to help you access the latest resources and training about best practices in gerontology and geriatrics. As part of a statewide effort, we are building a clearinghouse for access to web-based training opportunities in gerontology and geriatrics. You may access information about learning opportunities through the following:

Online Training Modules - View


Online non-credit training modules on a variety of topics related to aging are available to you here at no cost. With these modules, we strive to provide cotinuing education for healthcare professionals as well as those who work with older adults, including caregivigers and other community members. Once you have successfully completed a module, you will be able to print a transcript as a record of completion.


Health educators interested in using these modules in the classroom can do so at no cost to their institutions. Most of our modules are available for instructors' use in healthcare courses. Please contact us at (706) 425-3222 to discuss whether or not this program might benefit your students.


Aging 101 for Georgia - View


The free Aging 101 video, which is broken into easily-viewable chapters, translates aging research into accessible information for the public. This section also contains a sizable list of informative and free web resources for those who need more information on aging issues.



Caring for Georgia's Frail Elders: The State of Palliative and End-of-Life Care in Georgia - View


Caring for Georgia's Frail Elders is a research project funded through the Georgia For A Lifetime Initiative to assess the status of Georgia's palliative and end-of-life care. It included statewide surveys of hospitals, nursing homes, hospice agencies, Community Care Services Programs, and a training needs assessment. Please check back here for links as the final reports become available.
