Welcome

Welcome to the Online Geriatric Training Portal for Georgia!

Thank you for visiting our site. It has been especially designed to help you access the latest resources and training about best practices in gerontology and geriatrics. As part of a statewide effort, we are building a clearinghouse for access to web-based training opportunities in gerontology and geriatrics.

Several training modules, developed through the Georgia Geriatric Education Center, are primarily for healthcare professionals, and for a nominal processing fee, the participant can receive CEUs or CME credits, as appropriate. In addition, there are training modules that may be of interest to those who work with older adults, as well as caregivers and other community members. These modules are developed, in part, through the Gerontology Education and Training Alliance of Georgia (GET-AGE), a statewide partnership, and can be found in the GET-AGE section of the website. In both cases, once you have successfully completed a module, you will be able to print out a transcript as a record of completion.

You may access information about learning opportunities through the following:

Georgia Geriatric Education Center (GGEC)

The GGEC provides continuing education for Georgia's health care community. CEUs and/or CMEs are available for online and on-site courses, conferences, and workshops.

Please contact Dr. Donna Butler at (706) 425-3241 to discuss whether or not this program might benefit your students. We look forward to working with you.
